The Eloquia Work-Life Balance Pledge
Made on the record by Saqib Khan as director, October 2026. Defence work runs to deadlines set by others, so balance has to be planned in.
Eloquia pledges that
1. We plan every deadline with margin, so that neither you nor the people we instruct are asked to turn work round overnight unless a hearing date leaves no choice.
2. We reply to every client message within one working day, and we tell you the same day if something urgent has arrived from the regulator, the police or the court.
3. We do not expect counsel, experts or partner firms to reply outside their working hours, and we say so in our instructions.
4. We tell you in advance about any period when Saqib Khan will be away, and we plan your deadlines around it.
5. We keep calls with clients to times that suit the client, including outside clinical hours for doctors who cannot step away from patients.
