Terms
Website terms of use
The terms on which you use this website and the information on it. The terms that govern any work we do for you are separate, and you receive them in writing before we start.

1. About these terms
These terms apply when you visit eloquia.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. About Eloquia
The site is run by Eloquia Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12532468, registered office Arden Hall, Brooklands Road, Sale M33 3SJ. Eloquia is a legal consultancy. It is not a law firm and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Where a matter needs a regulated firm, such as a High Court appeal or criminal proceedings, we work with one.
3. Information, not advice
The pages on this site describe how regulatory, criminal, inquest and disciplinary processes work in general terms. They are not advice on your situation, and nobody should act or decide not to act on them alone. Time limits in these processes are short, so if you have received a letter, take advice on it promptly.
Reading the site, calling us or sending the contact form does not make us your adviser. We act for you only once we have confirmed that we can, checked for conflicts and sent you our terms of engagement in writing.
4. Fees and funding
The fees on the site are indicative fixed fees by stage. Every fee is stated plus VAT, and the fee for your matter is confirmed in writing before work begins. The site mentions that we are developing a fee funding facility and a defence costs insurance product with partners. Nothing on the site is an offer of credit or insurance or an invitation to apply for either.
5. Using the site
You may read, print and share pages for your own use or to pass to someone who needs them. You may not copy the site or any substantial part of it for publication, use it in a way that breaks the law, try to gain unauthorised access to it or to the systems behind it, or send anything harmful through the contact form.
6. Intellectual property
The text and design of the site belong to Eloquia Ltd. The photographs belong to their authors and are used under the licences listed in the photo credits. Short quotations with a link back to the page are welcome.
7. Accuracy and availability
We keep the pages up to date and correct mistakes when we find them, but the law and the rules of each regulator change, and we do not promise that every page reflects the position on the day you read it. We aim to keep the site available at all times, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any page without notice.
8. Links to other sites
Where we link to a regulator, a court or another organisation, we do so for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.
9. Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, because the site gives general information and not advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
10. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy notice. The site sets no cookies, and its cookie banner stores only a record of your choice, as our cookie policy explains.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms go to hello@eloquia.co.uk, telephone 07356 071 193, or post to Eloquia Ltd, Arden Hall, Brooklands Road, Sale M33 3SJ.
