About Saqib Khan and Eloquia
Eloquia is a legal consultancy. It defends doctors and other healthcare professionals before their regulators, the police, coroners and their employers.

Background
Saqib Khan
Saqib Khan is a former solicitor. He qualified 19 years ago and has 19 years of post qualification experience. He founded his own law firm and ran it for 14 years. For more than four years he also sat as a fee paid judge of the County Court.
He set up Eloquia to give doctors and other healthcare professionals a defence planned from the start and priced in advance. Someone who has made decisions from the bench leads that defence.
Saqib leads every matter we take on. Our work covers four tracks: the GMC and the MPTS, including MPTS hearings, criminal allegations, inquests and NHS disciplinary, and other healthcare regulators.
Why a former judge
What judicial experience brings to your case
A judge reads every document with one question in mind: what does this prove, and how reliable is it? Saqib brings that discipline to your case. He tests your account as a tribunal will test it and finds the gaps before the other side does. Then he presents your evidence in the order a decision maker finds easiest to follow.
He tests your account as a tribunal will test it, and finds the gaps before the other side does.
He knows how to put a reasoned decision together. That helps when you need case examiners to close a case or a tribunal to find in your favour.

How we work
- We treat what you tell us as confidential and share it only with your consent or where the law requires.
- Before we accept any instruction, we check for conflicts.
- We confirm the scope and the fixed fee for each stage in writing before work begins. We quote every fee plus VAT, and each includes a specialist barrister, whom we involve from the outset. Our fees page sets out the fixed fee for each stage.
- We do not act on conditional fee agreements.
Our status
Eloquia is not a law firm
Eloquia Ltd is not a law firm and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Representation before the GMC and the MPTS is not a reserved legal activity. So we can act for you in those proceedings ourselves. Some matters need a regulated firm, such as an appeal to the High Court or criminal proceedings. For those we work with a regulated law firm and with our criminal defence partner firm.
Eloquia Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 12532468, with its registered office at Arden Hall, Brooklands Road, Sale M33 3SJ. The office is a short journey from the MPTS hearing centre at St James's Buildings on Oxford Street in Manchester.

Your first conversation may be with our AI assistant, which tells you at the start that it is an AI assistant, not a person or a lawyer, and gives no legal advice. It takes your details and a short questionnaire for Saqib Khan, and where we can help we arrange an appointment with him at a time that suits you both. Our privacy notice explains how what you tell us is handled.
